large platter of snap peas and red onions topped with sliced steak

Now that summer is here, there’s nothing better than spending less time in the kitchen and more time in the sunshine. The warmer months are perfect for taking advantage of pre-marinated meats and grab-and-go salads. Here are five delicious, time-saving dinner recipes featuring ready-to-cook proteins and fresh sides you can pick up in-store for dinner in a snap.

grilled bread, pork caprese salad peaches

Marinated Pork Tenderloin + Peach and Tomato Caprese + Grilled Bread

There is always a happy dance at my house when Peach-O-Rama arrives. They’re the ripest, juiciest peaches I’ve ever tasted, and at Metropolitan Market, we’ve created special seasonal dishes with the harvest. You’ve got to try the Chili Peach Pork Tenderloin—it pairs perfectly with our Peach-O-Rama Caprese Salad. Complete the meal with a few slices of grilled crusty bread to sop up the summertime flavors.

grilled steak with sugar snap peas

Kalbi Marinated Tri Tip + Asian Snap Pea Salad + Rice

One of my kids will eat anything slathered in the Metropolitan Market Kalbi Marinade, and the tri tip is a great budget-friendly cut. Cook and serve the meat on top of our crunchy Asian Snap Pea Salad from the prepared foods department. Round it all out with a side of fluffy white rice.

roasted corn with tortillas

Carne Asada or Pollo Asada + Mexican Roasted Corn Salad + Tortillas

Both the pollo asada and the carne asada from the Butcher Shop are packed with smoky, savory flavor, thanks to generous use of our expertly crafted Metropolitan Market rubs. The steak and chicken cook super quickly, making them perfect for a last-minute taco night. With the Corn Salad from prepared foods and a stash of tortillas, you are ready to go.

prawns guacamole

Chili Lime Cooked Prawns + Guacamole + Tostadas

Tostadas are one of my family’s favorite meals. They’re so fun to make and to eat! This summertime supper will take no more than five minutes once the grill gets hot. While the prawns grill, lay out the tostadas and a big bowl of guac for a low-key, help-yourself serving station that’s wonderful for casual evenings.

pork chops greek salad pita bread summertime meals

Seasoned Boneless Pork Chops + Mediterranean Salad + Pita Bread

These pre-seasoned pork chops are my weekend go-to. Plate them with our Mediterranean Salad from the prepared foods department and the Metropolitan Market Greek Pitas from the bakery for an effortless, crowd-pleasing dinner party meal.
