Bacon Beer Burger
Serves 4
This hefty burger is loaded with beef, beer, and bacon. What more could you ask for! This recipe is perfect for summer days spent grilling out on the patio. Best enjoyed with an ice cold beer.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup beer
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 hamburger buns, split
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 slices thick bacon, cut in half, cooked crisp
- 4 slices beefsteak tomato
- 4 large lettuce leaves
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine beef, beer, and Worcestershire. Mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into four 1/2-inch thick patties. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Place patties on grill over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 8 to 10 minutes or until internal temperature of burgers registers 160°F. Flip occasionally as they cook.
- About 2 minutes before burgers are done, place buns, cut-side down on grill until lightly toasted. During last minute of grilling, top each burger with cheese.
- Assemble burgers with tomato, bacon, lettuce, and buns.
