Easy Sparkling Sangria Cocktail
Serves 12
Try our sparkling version of Sangria, sweetened with Metropolitan Market Italian Soda, for the ultimate warm-weather refreshment-Spanish-style. You can also use fruit juice or fruit nectar instead of Italian soda.
Ingredients
- 2 lemons, quartered or sliced
- 2 oranges, quartered or sliced
- 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine
- Simple syrup or granulated sugar, to taste
- 1 (750 ml) bottle orange Italian soda, chilled
Optional Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brandy
Directions
- Squeeze lemons and oranges into a pitcher. Toss fruit into pitcher with juice. Add wine and brandy, if using. Add simple syrup or sugar, to taste.
- Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight, to steep.
- Add Italian soda to pitcher, just before serving. Garnish glasses with citrus slices.
